PRP exam postponed

April 29, 2009 at 4:15 pm (to all)

Hi frnds our PRP exam is postponed, confirmed by OU control room (Ph: 040-27098039) and MJ college principle.

The date of postponement is not yet decided

The reason is PRP is there for some other branches also, so it will be conducted in common to all and the date is yet to be decided.
So for all branches PRP exam is postponed

Thanks for Sandeep Raj, and Abhesheik for taking lot of strain in knowing it

Update April 30th: Hi frnds, our PRP exam postponed date is not yet decided, it is told that it will not be planned so that it will not disturb any other exam mostly after the last exam …. OU control room

Review on lab external

April 13, 2009 at 8:12 pm (to all)

Hi frnds, the exam today was a bit hot for some and cool for some, to make it better for the next batch here are some helping things

JAVA:
IF NOT EXECUTED ZERO

  • As told by java sir all the programs are from our syllabus book, not even the format of the question is changed
  • Coming to the viva it is very easy, some will be on the program u get and the remaining are based on the basic concepts of OOP’s, no too much technical reasoning questions, pure theory based viva

Comments of students:

  • Viva is very easy
  • All programs are expected
  • Invisilation is very strict
  • Copying is almost impossible
  • Learn the basics of all the 15 programs for better marks even in viva
  • If u get TreeSet must do it with Comparator
  • Make the filter and buffered I/O concepts clear
  • The external is lite, she is not checking the program
  • More stress on basic concepts

Viva questions:

Program Frequency of question
What is polymorphism *****
What are buzz words of Java ****
what is overloading ****
What is overriding ****
What are features of Java ***
types of inheritance ***
Is multiple inheritance possible ***
What is diamond square problem ***
How to overcome it ***
What is a interface ***
What is encapsulation in brief ***
What are the concepts of OOPs **
What are exceptions **
What is runnable **
What is a applet **
AND BASIC CONCEPTS OF THE 15 PROGRAMS MUST

MicroProcessors Lab:
VIVA IS A CENTER SHOCK TO ALL

  • None of the questions are out of our record, 2 questions will be asked and the exam for batch 2 students will start between 11.30 to 12.00,
  • Coming to viva, to answer the questions we need to do PhD in the subject, for batch 3 students its hell, but for batch 4 the time for viva is very less(just 30 mins), so she winded it up so fast

Comments of students:

  • batch 2 students are lucky
  • Its very easy to copy
  • All programs are easy
  • To get good marks in viva read atleat 3 to 4 books on micro processors
  • The external is crazy
  • If there is any problem with kit, don’t worry mam will look over
  • More stress on unecessary things
  • The external is encouraging with good words and discouraging with unanswerable questions
  • Do not make much noise in lab(GA2)
  • All most all questions out of syllabus

viva questions:

  • what is instructions
  • what are instrcution fromats
  • 8086 architecture
  • Explain diff types of flags(must)
  • what is ALE
  • what is CMP instruction
  • what is CMA
  • what are the pins in 8086(must)
  • what are the operations that can be made on memory(important)
  • explain each register in detail
  • what are decoders, draw
  • what are encoders, draw
  • what are multiplexer, draw
  • block diag of multiplexer
  • Questions based on memory
  • Questions on CPU architecture
  • What is sequential circuit
  • What is micro processor
  • What is LDA
  • Draw the diag of internal structure of processor
  • Types of addressing modes
  • Draw the 8*1 multiplexer
  • How many volts is required for 8086 to work
  • What are control pins and what is their use
  • Tell about filp flops and latches
  • Drawing K-maps
  • AND MANY MORE STRANGE QUESTIONS WHICH WE ARE UNABLE TO REMEMBER

ALL THE BEST FOR THE NEXT BATCH
